General Description
Formerly Thistledown Cottage, the name has been changed to Abel Thomas House.
Abel Thomas House accommodates up to 6 - (possible 8 people), is in the best location and is fully air conditioned. It offers a cozy sitting room with flat screen TV and cable, a real wood burning fireplace, dining area. Plus a family room with flat screen TV and electric fireplace. Books, games and magazines.
Three bedrooms: one on the main floor with queen size bed and french doors leading out to the deck. Two bedrooms on second level, one with queen size bed and one with two twin beds. Pull-out sofa bed is available for up to 2 people, ($25.00 per person - per night extra). Clock radios.
Two three-piece bathrooms on the main floor, one is ensuite to the main floor bedroom.
Modern fully equipped kitchen, fridge with in-door ice maker, dishwasher, microwave oven, cooker, coffee maker, cappuccino machine, blender, electric mixer etc.
Large two tier deck for relaxing and dining, propane BarBQ.
Gazebo with wicker furniture, storage shed for bikes, patio table for outdoor dining.
The best central location, just three minutes walk to the main shopping street, restaurants, pubs, Shaw Theatres, art galleries, historic sites, parks etc.

- • Rates quoted are for up to 6 people. 2 more people can be accommodated - $25.00 per person per night
High Season (May 1 - October 31) Minimum 3 night stay.
Weekend (Friday, thru Sunday) $415.00
Weekday (Monday thru Thursday) $385.00
Please note that High Season weekend rates apply on holidays (ie. Christmas, New Year, Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.)
Low Season (November 1 - May 1st) Minimum two-night stay required - 3 night minimum on long weekends and holidays:
Weekend (Friday thru Sunday) $295.00
Weekday (Monday - Thursday) $255.00
$25.00 extra per person - per night for up to 2 additional people. Maximum 8 people allowed to stay overnight in the house.
All prices are in Canadian dollars and exclusive of applicable tax.
Reservations and Cancellation policy
• Reservation is held with a 50% deposit. Cheques/checks, MC and Visa are accepted.
• Final payment is due one month prior to arrival date.
• $50.00 processing fee applies to all cancellations until the last 30 days prior to arrival.
• If reservation is cancelled in the last 30 days prior to arrival, the deposit is forfeited and the full amount will be payable unless we are able to re-book the reserved dates, in which case only a $50.00 processing fee would apply.
